Photography is Festival/Symposium was a multi-month celebration at Purchase College exploring photography's diverse possibilities. The festival featured over 20 exhibitions, screenings, lectures, and workshops from September through November, including Photography is Us: 50 Years of Faculty and Alumni. It examined photography through various lenses such as heritage, materiality, light, multiculturalism, printmaking, and social resistance, while featuring installations, artist talks, film screenings, and hands-on workshops celebrating Purchase's photography program legacy.
