Photography is Festival/Symposium was an extensive multi-month celebration at Purchase College exploring the diverse nature and possibilities of photography. The festival featured over 20 exhibitions, screenings, lectures, and workshops from September through November, honoring 50 years of faculty and alumni work through the exhibition "Photography is Us: 50 Years of Faculty and Alumni." The festival examined photography through various lenses as heritage, materiality, light, multiculturalism, printmaking, and social resistance, while featuring installations, artist talks by alumni like Max Mauro and visiting artists, film screenings, and hands-on workshops. As lead designer, you would have created the visual identity and materials for this comprehensive celebration of Purchase's photography program legacy.
